What other wedding chapel in the world would have a pink, 1957 commode in a cork-walled powder room with hand towels like this to match? Only one I can think of, and we think it looks great! Pink!!!

Ok, we'll give you that it's rather unusual, but so is the whole rest of the chapel. The commode came from a house renovation near Lake Waco, and we had the chance to get the matching sink and a cobalt blue full set as well. Tragically, we passed on those, but just getting one 1957 commode back to the chapel was work enough. They built things to LAST back in the day, and it took two of us to wrestle the commode into the front seat of my Chrysler convertible to get it down the interstate. Needless to say, we garnered quite a few odd looks along our route, but no matter. The rest is history. It goes perfectly in one of the most unusual bathrooms ever. Miss Denise finds just the right hand towels to match the decor the best she can, and the whole room is made of a hand.me.down sink, steamer trunk and a mirror support from an antique dresser. Just the kind of eclectic charm we love. Rock on, pink bathroom! You put other water closets to shame!
Speaking of pink, the antique roses that have survived on the front lanscape of the chapel are in full bloom and look absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, at the height of their beauty, they fell against some weird bug disease/infestation, but a few have survived. We were talking the other day that we'd like to add more, so we'll see how that goes.
Anyway, have a wonderful start to Holy Week! We're getting fired up about the big day on Sunday, and think it may be at the chapel if the weather continues as predicted so far. No matter if it's at the house or at the chapel, the Resurrection will be celebrated in sugary-sweet celebrational style! Blessings on you!
