Well, I don't know how delicious it was, since Lent, but the cake for Saturday night looked amazing, and folks seemed to love it. Not much returned to the kitchen on the plates! The design is cool!

The design seemed really neat and the detail was fun. The cake was placed in the niche between some antique photographs on the piano and our capable beverage server, Greg! It was a bit heavy for Tammy's piecrust table, but it held, and with assistance worked out just fine as a serving space. It's unusual for us to serve the cake from anywhere but the antique buffet in the entry, but it was just fine, and really showed off the antique dishes. Yummy looking and I'm ready to enjoy such confections after Good Friday! Woohoo!
We're pretty much done with taking down everything from this weekend's wedding and moving towards the next very soon. April 25 has a special weekday wedding with a magical bride and groom where yours truly gets to officiate yet again. It's so funny, since Cap will go from not doing a wedding for several months, and then all of a sudden he's officiating every wedding couple that comes along! Lots of fun, and getting to be the guy who gets to actually join the couple as a team is a pretty great feeling. Loving the setup for Kacey and Todd's wedding, so I know we'll have fun at the event.
Spring is coming to a head already with the warmer temperatures. Roses and lantana are already blooming, and we're thinking we're at the end of our cold weather. Bring on the brides, we say, as we sally forth and have fun one social confection at a time! Blessings to one and all in our chapel family! Eat the cake! :)
