Totally fun teatime for the ladies! Everyone dressed in hats and sipping away. They loved the raspberry cocktail almost as much as the tea! Outstanding day that was all about Mrs. Boss's posse!
I feel the real stars of the show were the three service members that served the tea, but I'm probably a little biased on that account. None other than our groom, Cooper and Consigliare, Greg were on hand to be sure the sipping and noshing never stopped. The ladies all looked great and seemed to be having a wonderful time. The food turned out well, and I got to help this year! What an excellent annual tradition!
The day before the tea, wedding bells rang for Art and Sue and they had a simple, elegant and meaningful ceremony here at the chapel. They bustled off to their reception elsewhere, but I was honored to be their officiant, and their marriage license has already been delivered by hand to Shelly's office in Belton! Even got to take the Fleetwood up there for a bit of a spin. Sue wore a beautiful cobalt-blue dress and Art looked dapper with his Marine Corps tie bar. This certainly wasn't their first rodeo, but it was wonderful, and we wish them a lifetime of fun after their exciting honeymoon cruise that'll happen sometime in the relatively near future. They're going to get to see the Panama Canal, which is a mighty cool trip.
Cleanup from the tea continues. Glasses, plates, trays, etc.... It'll all get done, and we don't even have to rush! Blessings to one and all for a spic 'n span day of cleanliness and happiness! Later!
