Check out this tea party, fun-dango kinda shot! Clearly, again this year, hats were required, and there were quite a few of them. From picture frame hats to fascinators, colors and shapes abound!
That's one of the things that makes the tradition the most fun. Some of the ladies are regular hat-wearers, and others use a borrowed piece for the once-a-year event. No matter, it looks extra cool in the room during the tea service, and certainly jazzes up the group photo. This year's group photo will be posted soon, and Stacy took another great shot of the group that looks like they're having fun. One of the fun element causes is that there's not just tea in the cups, but sparkling wine in the glasses. Mrs. Boss went with a raspberry liqueur sparkling drink this year that was popular and enjoyed by most of the ladies in attendance. It was a departure from the regular 'juice 'n fizz' kind of a drink, and well received. We're still enjoying the left-overs from this particular event and we're really glad we made some of our scones from scratch this year. They're mighty tasty, and seem to hold up well in the fridge. They're particularly excellent warmed up with soft butter slathered on top. Having the delicious treats to enjoy after the event is almost as fun as the tea itself! There are still turkey slices being enjoyed, and the crustless bread makes excellent French toast and jellied toast as well. We're not going hungry around here, for sure, and as usual, nothing ever goes to waste. That makes the fun last and lets us be good stewards with our blessings.
Speaking of blessings, we hope you're up to your neck in great ones today! If you get the chance, come and join us @ bible study this evening @ 5p while we wrap up this season's discussion of The Chosen. Otherwise, have a wonderful day and an excellent start to your week! Later, blessed ones!
