Chapel Blog | Our weddings, events and news

Are these two hair-color twinskies, or what?!!?!? Clearly, Otto prefers a ginger, since he's dated them both. This is such a cool photo from Thanksgiving Day, and Sarah was a huge help with all!

Since we were out of town until the day before Turkey Day, and Otto and Sarah were in Las Vegas, Thanksgiving came together as a group effort that was primarily led by Otto, Sarah and Jolene. I did nothing but boil potatoes that Otto had to mash, and Bruce added a really yummy fried sweet potato thing that we've never had before. Another great Thanksgiving for the books, and we truly ARE thankful for these folks who surround us with care and support!

Headed down to the chapel in a little bit to start the book club prep routine. My cake had some technical difficulties/wardrobe malfunction that I'm hoping to fix in the final fitting adjustments before serving. The great news is that it still tastes great....as all cakes do at the Chapel (it's just that usually, I'm not the one making them!). I need to take my robe (PJ NIGHT!), the two wrapped books, and a few other things down, as well as a rifle I'm giving Bruce that Bert is going to take home and examine for some restoration. Mrs. Boss and I are looking forward to the evening.

I love it when we get to see folks from weddings past! Saw Karin Holdampf @ the Post Office today, and that was fun. I even got to help her put a package in her car, and since her kiddo has 2 little ones since the wedding already, I guess it really took!

Anyway........don't forget, the book club is open to anyone interested. Tonight wouldn't be a good night to come, unless you just want to meet members, but we'll be selecting next month's book before the evening is over! Blessings to all and here's to some great December and January reading by the fire!
