Love this special couple!
Ralph and Marcia were able to be here for wedding homecoming dinner again this year, and we were thrilled! Their story is one of those unique tales that surround our blessed chapel. Dan and Laura (son and daughter.in.law) coordinated an 'ambush' 50th anniversary renewal of vows here. On the special day, they thought they were coming to a recital that included their granddaughter....when they got out of the truck...they realized that just about everyone they knew was here! Beautiful outdoor, 'witnessing' ceremony with the couples in attendance holding hands, standing and wishing them well. What a beautiful and special memory this was for everyone! Congratulations, M&R, and we can't wait to see you on January 24, 2016 for the next WHD!
Productive day at the chapel so far. Door sill that was rotted out from all the rain is fixed, got to meet Debbie and Duane's excellent DJ's for their wedding, and I'm even fixing to do another load of chair covers in the laundry! We're rolling, people!
My massage therapist, Linda Egg, reminded me the other day that genuine change often requires baby steps. I've always been a pretty much 'all or nothing' guy, but I think she's on to something. We move forward in incriments sometimes, and I also think that's how He made us! Blessings for a tremendous day and a wonderful 4th of July if I don't get to post before then. Don't forget to be at the 91st Annual Belton 4th of July parade on Saturday!
